Tailor Freestanding Seating delivers modern comfort and commercial durability for offices, corporate lobbies, healthcare lounges, and collaborative workspaces. This modular collection blends residential-style comfort with high-traffic resilience, offering single chairs, 2- and 3-seat sofas, and bariatric options that maintain design continuity across spaces.

  • Frame: 1" square steel tube with laser-cut channels for stability.
  • Seat and back: high-density foam (4.2 PCF), 25% plant-based, with elastic webbing for long-lasting comfort.
  • Fabric and safety: antibacterial/antimicrobial fabric options; flame-retardant foam meets CA TB117-2013; easy-to-clean upholstery for healthcare and high-use areas.
  • Arm and base finishes: polyurethane or wood arm caps in multiple colors; four-point, sled, or solid maple wood bases.
  • Power and ergonomics: integrated Cove Mini power module; optional 360° swivel tablet arm.
  • Modularity and configuration: freestanding single chairs, 2- and 3-seat sofas, and bariatric options; mix-and-match upholstery for design continuity.

MATERIALS BREAKDOWN

FRAME CONSTRUCTION

Frame:
  • Made from 1" square steel tube welded to laser-cut steel channels. Threaded inserts for the universal connecting kit are welded to the underside for reconfiguration without part replacement.
SEAT AND BACK CONSTRUCTION
Seat:
  • Made from 100% Post Industrial Plastic (polyolefin based). Upholstery covers are form-fitted and stapled over high-resiliency polyurethane molded foam. Elastic webbing adds suspension to the most interacted part of the seat. Removable with four bolts per seat.
Seat - Bariatric:
  • Features a 0.75" thick plywood structure with elastic webbing and high-resiliency molded foam. Upholstery is stapled into place with a fabric cover on the bottom. Removable with four bolts per seat.
Back:
  • CNC-cut plywood panels create a structural box, covered with high-resiliency molded foam for comfort. Upholstery is pulled over a disciplined edge. Metal plates ensure a metal-to-metal connection for longevity. Detachable with four bolts.

FOAM

  • Formulated with 25% sustainable plant-based substitute, maintaining comfort and longevity.
  1. Molded foam density: 4.2 PCF.
  2. Slab cut foam density: 1.8 PCF.
  • Flame Retardants: Meets Federal Motor Vehicle Standard MVSS302 and California Bulletin No. 117 (TB117-2013).

ARM CONSTRUCTION

  • Made of plywood with polypropylene spacer blocks. Covered in high-resiliency polyurethane slab cut foam and upholstery. Arms bolt directly to the seat. Arm caps are polyurethane or wood.

FEET CONSTRUCTION

  • Glides:
  • Clear durable injection-molded polycarbonate glides.

CERTIFICATIONS

  • ANSI/BIFMA X5.4 Public & Lounge Seating.

OPTIONS

360-degree swivel tablet arm:
  • Oval Tablet: 16.5" x 11.5"; Square: 12" x 12".
  • Arm made from 1" square steel tube.
  • Standard 1" arm gap with upholstered arm.
  • Height: 27.5" above floor, 9.5" from seat.
Optional solid maple wood base.
Non-Wallisaving steel sled base available in all Spectone colours (1" square steel tube welded).

Delivery & Returns

RETURNS: All contract furniture is made to order and cannot be returned for a refund. Simplova may approve some items for return but will be subject to a restocking fee.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: Orders that have been scheduled for production may not be changed. All changes including reconsignments to orders previously acknowledged must be requested in writing and are subject to approval. Requests for changes are not deemed accepted until confirmed by the manufacturer. In the event a revision is accepted, change fees may apply.

DELIVERIES BY COURIER/COMMON CARRIER & FREIGHT CLAIMS: The buyer, or buyer's representative, must be present at the time of delivery of the product to sign for and acknowledge correctness of the count and condition of the product being delivered. In the event of shortage or damage of product delivered by a common carrier other than Simplova, the Buyer will be required to file the appropriate claim with that carrier and will hold Simplova harmless from this claim.
