FRAME CONSTRUCTION

  • Frame: Heavy duty inner frame constructed of two 14 gauge rectangular steel tubes connected with angle iron support bars. Tamperproof seat pan welded directly to the frame. Welds ground smooth for safety.
  • Side Frame Construction: Same as frame, with rectangular steel tubes and angle iron support bars. Tamperproof seat pan welded to the frame.

SEAT AND BACK

  • Seat: Upholstered seat pan made with 3/4" plywood, covered with 3" hi-resiliency polyurethane slab foam. Foam fully enclosed, stapled underside covered by metal seat pan.
  • Back: Upholstered back with 3/4" laminated plywood core, covered with 4" hi-resiliency polyurethane slab foam. Foam fully enclosed, stapled underside covered by metal back frame.

FOAM

  • Bariatric Models: Open cell slab foam displaces 25% petroleum material with sustainable plant-based substitute.
  • Closed Cell Molded Foam: Displaces 25% petroleum material with sustainable substitute. Density: 3.0–3.2 PCF, no changes to physical properties or comfort.

FLAME RETARDANTS

  • Foam meets Federal Motor Vehicle Standard MVSS302 and California Bulletin No. 117 (TB117-2013).

ARM CONSTRUCTION

  • Laminated Arm Panels: 1/2" NAUF plywood core (FSC certified), sandwiched between 1/32" plastic laminate sheets, bonded with water-based adhesive.
  • Upholstered Arm Panels: 3/8" foam glued to 1/2" plywood. Fasteners concealed, panel glued to polyurethane side frame.
  • Polyurethane Arm Caps (Optional): Molded over 1/8" steel plate, attached with 1/4-20 bolts. Field replaceable.
  • Wood Arm Caps: Attached with 7/8" threaded wood screws. Finished natural, stained, or lacquered (water-based, UV cured). Field replaceable.

FEET CONSTRUCTION

  • Glides: Non-removable 1 1/8" steel levelers with 1/4-20 steel stem.

Delivery & Returns

RETURNS: All contract furniture is made to order and cannot be returned for a refund. Simplova may approve some items for return but will be subject to a restocking fee.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: Orders that have been scheduled for production may not be changed. All changes including reconsignments to orders previously acknowledged must be requested in writing and are subject to approval. Requests for changes are not deemed accepted until confirmed by the manufacturer. In the event a revision is accepted, change fees may apply.

DELIVERIES BY COURIER/COMMON CARRIER & FREIGHT CLAIMS: The buyer, or buyer's representative, must be present at the time of delivery of the product to sign for and acknowledge correctness of the count and condition of the product being delivered. In the event of shortage or damage of product delivered by a common carrier other than Simplova, the Buyer will be required to file the appropriate claim with that carrier and will hold Simplova harmless from this claim.
