Options

Infection Control

• No Velcro on seat

• Waterfall cleanout between seat and back cushions

• Metal mesh seat deck. For mental health applications, seat deck can be covered with a solid moisture resistant surface with tamperproof fasteners

• SSU armcaps are cleanable and non-porous

• For proper cleaning and disinfecting practices, the textile selection needs to be identified. It is vital that following any chemical application a clear water wipe down occur to avoid chemical build up that will lead to deterioration of the textile. Contact Global should information on using a specific disinfectant be required

On Site Repair and Replacement

• All components are field replaceable including seat, back, armcaps and arm frames

• Arm frame are interchangeable allowing for on-site conversion from steel to wood and open arm frames to/from closed arm frames

• Armcaps are interchangeable allowing for on-site conversion from SSU armcaps to wood armcaps

• Upholstered arm panels are replaceable

Construction (Overall Frame)

• Metal frame with die-cast zinc connectors and metal-to-metal fasteners

• Arm frames use 14 gauge rectangular tube construction

• Armcaps are molded around a formed steel insert ensuring a metal to metal connection

• Welded wire mesh seat deck

Construction (Back)

• ¾ in (19 mm) thick molded veneer back, mechanically fastened to back uprights using metal-to-metal connections

Construction (Glides)

• Non-marking, black, polypropylene/polyethylene glides

Upholstery

• Zippered seat cushion

• Seat cushion hooks to underside of seat deck and back rail using proprietary C-clip fastener

• Back cushion hooks to underside of back using proprietary C-clip fastener

Foam

• Seat and back cushions have 3.5 in (89 mm) thick molded urethane foam

• Back foam density: 1.9 lb, ILD: 22

• Seat cushion is Ultracell foam. Density: 2.6, ILD: 35

Weight Capacity

Bariatric seating has an active weight capacity of 500 lb.

Warranty

Lifetime warranty on all components except the following:

• 5 year warranty on foam and textiles

• Warranty applies only to single shift, standard commercial usage (8 hours/day, 5 days/week)
