Tailor Modular Seating Collection combines versatile design with healthcare-ready resilience for modern waiting rooms, corporate lounges, and hospitality spaces. Its modular architecture enables rapid reconfiguration to fit changing workflows and occupancy, with configurations that include single, bariatric, 2- to 3-seat modules, and tables.

  • Modular design: Link or unlink units for configurations (single, bariatric, 2- to 3-seat modules, and tables).
  • Healthcare-ready: Antibacterial/antimicrobial fabric options; 500 lb weight capacity; easy-to-clean gaps between seats and arms.
  • Durability and safety: Steel frame, high-resiliency foam with 25% plant-based content; flame-retardant materials meeting ANSI/BIFMA X5.4.
  • Finishes and power: Upholstered arm panels; wood arm caps with nine stain options; integrated power modules to charge devices.
  • Configurations and curves: Serpentine and booth options with Inside/Outside Curve chairs and benches.
  • Customization: Optional swivel tablet arms, sled bases, or freestanding tables for a cohesive, high-end look.

MATERIALS BREAKDOWN

FRAME CONSTRUCTION

Frame:

  • Made from 1" square steel tube welded to laser-cut steel channels. Threaded inserts for the universal connecting kit are welded to the underside for reconfiguration without part replacement.

SEAT AND BACK CONSTRUCTION

Seat:

  • Constructed from 100% Post Industrial Plastic (polyolefin based). Upholstery covers are form-fitted and stapled over high-resiliency polyurethane molded foam. Features elastic webbing for suspension. Easily removable/replaceable with four bolts per seat.

Seat - Bariatric, Serpentine:

  • 0.75" thick plywood structure with elastic webbing and high-resiliency molded foam. Upholstery is stapled into place. Removable/replaceable with four bolts per seat.

Back:

  • CNC-cut plywood panels create a structural box, covered with high-resiliency molded foam. Upholstery is pulled over a disciplined edge. Metal plates ensure metal-to-metal connection for longevity. Detachable with four bolts.

Foam:

  • Formulated with 25% sustainable plant-based substitute. Density: 4.2 PCF (molded), 1.8 PCF (slab cut).

Flame Retardants:

  • Meets Federal Motor Vehicle Standard MVS$302 and California Bulletin No. 117 (TB117-2013).
ARM CONSTRUCTION
  • Made of plywood with polypropylene spacer blocks. Covered in high-resiliency polyurethane slab cut foam and upholstery. Bolts directly to the seat. Arm caps available in polyurethane or wood.
FEET CONSTRUCTION

Glides:

  • Clear, durable injection-molded polycarbonate glides.

OPTIONS

360-degree swivel tablet arm:

  • Tablet sizes: Oval (16.5" x 11.5"), Square (12" x 12").
  • Arm material: 1" square steel tube.
  • Standard 1" arm gap with upholstered arm.
  • Height: 27.5" above floor, 9.5" from seat.
  • Non-Wallsaving steel sled base available in all Spectone colours (1" square steel tube welded).

  • Extended lead time! Typically ships in  6+ weeks.
Delivery & Returns

RETURNS: All contract furniture is made to order and cannot be returned for a refund. Simplova may approve some items for return but will be subject to a restocking fee.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: Orders that have been scheduled for production may not be changed. All changes including reconsignments to orders previously acknowledged must be requested in writing and are subject to approval. Requests for changes are not deemed accepted until confirmed by the manufacturer. In the event a revision is accepted, change fees may apply.

DELIVERIES BY COURIER/COMMON CARRIER & FREIGHT CLAIMS: The buyer, or buyer's representative, must be present at the time of delivery of the product to sign for and acknowledge correctness of the count and condition of the product being delivered. In the event of shortage or damage of product delivered by a common carrier other than Simplova, the Buyer will be required to file the appropriate claim with that carrier and will hold Simplova harmless from this claim.
