The SPEC Snowball 3 Chair Series delivers durable, customizable seating designed for corporate, healthcare, and institutional spaces. Its seam-welded steel frame provides long-lasting strength in high-traffic areas, while the maple veneer back supports limitless personalization at no extra cost.

Key specifications and benefits include a 500 lb weight rating, stackability up to 10 chairs with a dolly, and eco-friendly materials—100% recycled plastic seat base and plant-based foam. The chair is flame-retardant and easy to clean, meeting CA TB117-2013 and MVSS302 standards for safety and maintenance.

Ideal for waiting rooms, cafeterias, training spaces, and office lobbies, the Snowball 3 adapts to diverse layouts while offering personalization options such as stains and engravings to reinforce your space’s brand and function.

Specifications

FRAME CONSTRUCTION

  • Frame Material: Seam-welded flash-controlled steel tubing (7/8" O.D., 14 Gauge).
  • Sled Base Frame: Cast aluminum, attached to chair leg ends using a 5/16" threaded glide.

SEAT AND BACK CONSTRUCTION

  • Seat Foundation: 100% recycled plastic with upholstery covers over 1-inch thick hi-resiliency polyurethane molded foam. Tamperproof, easy to clean, and stackable (four-point chairs only).
  • Wood Back: Minimum 6 layers of plywood (0.4 in. thick) with maple veneer front and back. Customizable with standard or custom designs.
  • Wood Back Finish: Water-based stains and UV finish (2 coats), cured using a UV tunnel.
  • Foam: Open cell cut foam with 25% plant-based substitute (1.8 PCF density). Complies with Federal Motor Vehicle Standard MVS S302 and California Bulletin No. 117 (TB117-2013).

FEEL CONSTRUCTION

  • Glides: Durable injection-molded plastic glides.
  • Casters (Model 1902): Non-locking, twin-wheel nylon, attached to a 5/16"-18 threaded steel insert.
  • Arm Construction: Molded nylon.

DOLLY CONSTRUCTION

  • Frame: Seam-welded flash-controlled steel tubing (3/4" 11 Gauge handle, 1.5" angle bar stretchers).

Delivery & Returns

RETURNS: All contract furniture is made to order and cannot be returned for a refund. Simplova may approve some items for return but will be subject to a restocking fee.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: Orders that have been scheduled for production may not be changed. All changes including reconsignments to orders previously acknowledged must be requested in writing and are subject to approval. Requests for changes are not deemed accepted until confirmed by the manufacturer. In the event a revision is accepted, change fees may apply.

DELIVERIES BY COURIER/COMMON CARRIER & FREIGHT CLAIMS: The buyer, or buyer's representative, must be present at the time of delivery of the product to sign for and acknowledge correctness of the count and condition of the product being delivered. In the event of shortage or damage of product delivered by a common carrier other than Simplova, the Buyer will be required to file the appropriate claim with that carrier and will hold Simplova harmless from this claim.
