Hardi Seating’s Heavy-Duty Chair is engineered for behavioral health facilities, hospitals, clinics, and educational campuses. Its one-piece roto-molded LDPE construction with UV stabilizers delivers durable, long-lasting performance in high-traffic environments. The seamless, tamper-resistant design features surfaces with no protruding hardware, enhancing cleanability and safety in sensitive care settings.

MATERIALS BREAKDOWN

CONSTRUCTION

ALL (except Stool)

  • One piece rotationally molded highly durable Polyethylene (LDPE) with ultraviolet light stabilizers.
  • Lightly textured surface with subtle hand grips on each side for easier grip and relocation.
  • 3" opening at the bottom for ballasting, closed with a 4-11/16" OD spun-in cap.
  • Recommended sealing with two tamper-proof drill screws.

STOOL

  • One piece rotationally molded highly durable Polyethylene (LDPE) with ultraviolet light stabilizers.
  • 3" opening at the bottom for ballasting, closed with a 4-11/16" OD spun-in cap.
  • Recommended sealing with two tamper-proof drill screws.

GLIDES
ALL (except Rocker)

  • Nickel-plated non-removable 1" nylon levelers with a 5/16-18 steel stem.

GANGING BRACKETS
ALL (except for Children's, Rocker, and Stool)

  • Two 11 gauge stainless steel brackets.
  • Requires levelers for ganging.

FLOOR MOUNTING
ALL (except Rocker)

  • Four 11 gauge stainless steel brackets.
  • Requires glides for floor mounting.

CERTIFICATORS

  • ANSI/BIFMA X5.11 General-Purpose Large Occupant Office Chairs.
  • ANSI/BIFMA X5.4 Public & Lounge Seating.

OPTIONS

  • Optional ganging, glides, floor mounting, seat pad, and extra weight (bag must be used) available on select models.
  • Warning: Adding sand may damage certain flooring types due to concentrated weight and prolonged use/movement.

  • 2 Bags (44lbs each): Models 8701, 8708, 8801, 8808, 8809, 8840.
  • 1 Bag (44lbs): Models 8901, 8702.

  • Upholstered dual-density polyurethane foam pad with flexible HDPE sheet.
  • Hidden, tamper-resistant, metal-free fasteners.

Delivery & Returns

RETURNS: All contract furniture is made to order and cannot be returned for a refund. Simplova may approve some items for return but will be subject to a restocking fee.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: Orders that have been scheduled for production may not be changed. All changes including reconsignments to orders previously acknowledged must be requested in writing and are subject to approval. Requests for changes are not deemed accepted until confirmed by the manufacturer. In the event a revision is accepted, change fees may apply.

DELIVERIES BY COURIER/COMMON CARRIER & FREIGHT CLAIMS: The buyer, or buyer's representative, must be present at the time of delivery of the product to sign for and acknowledge correctness of the count and condition of the product being delivered. In the event of shortage or damage of product delivered by a common carrier other than Simplova, the Buyer will be required to file the appropriate claim with that carrier and will hold Simplova harmless from this claim.
