Spec Furniture

Gravity Occasional Tables elevate contemporary spaces with clean lines and versatile function. Available in round, square, and rectangular shapes, they fit lounges, waiting areas, clinics, and corporate environments. An optional integrated power module supports devices discreetly, enhancing productivity in busy settings.

  • Customization and finishes: 15 standard laminates plus brands Wilsonart, Formica, and Arborite at no extra cost. Nine wood edge stains, with a stain-to-match option. Edge options include PVC, 2 mm bio-based, or hardwood bullnose.
  • Top and veneer options: Laminate tops are 1-1/8 inches thick with high-pressure resistance; veneer tops are 1-1/16 inches thick with hand-laid grain matching.
  • Frame and durability: 4PT steel base construction with 14-gauge oval tubing delivers stability in high-traffic spaces.
  • Color and coordination: Bases are available in 76 Spectone colors to coordinate with décor, enabling cohesive design across a room.

BASE CONSTRUCTION

4PT Base:
  • Made of high-carbon-content cold-rolled seam-welded steel tubing (14-gauge oval tube).
  • Legs are welded to table support brackets, which connect to both the tabletop and wood side supports.

TOP CONSTRUCTION

Laminate:
  • 1/16" high-pressure laminate sheet with plastic laminate backing.
  • Bonded with water-based glue.
  • Total thickness: ~1-1/8".
Veneer:
  • 1/32" hand-laid flat-cut veneer.
  • Bonded with water-based glue.
  • Total thickness: ~1-1/16".
  • Grain matching and symmetry prioritized.

EDGE CONSTRUCTION

PVC Edges:
  • Made from PVC pellet material (extruded through die-head profiles).
  • PVF Edge: Tongue & groove flat profile.
  • 2MM Edge: Flat profile.
  • Available in 38 solid colors.
  • Applied with water-based glue.
2MM Bio Edge (PVC-Free):
  • 88% bio-based resin blend (proprietary, eco-friendly).
  • Matches PVC durability without added chemicals.
  • Available in 38 solid colors.
  • Applied with water-based glue.
Hardwood Edge:
  • Segmented, glued (water-based), and clamped for 100% coverage.
  • Machined and hand-planed to match tabletop thickness.
  • Corners: Mitered, pencil-radiused, sealed, stained, and lacquered.

Delivery & Returns

RETURNS: All contract furniture is made to order and cannot be returned for a refund. Simplova may approve some items for return but will be subject to a restocking fee.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: Orders that have been scheduled for production may not be changed. All changes including reconsignments to orders previously acknowledged must be requested in writing and are subject to approval. Requests for changes are not deemed accepted until confirmed by the manufacturer. In the event a revision is accepted, change fees may apply.

DELIVERIES BY COURIER/COMMON CARRIER & FREIGHT CLAIMS: The buyer, or buyer's representative, must be present at the time of delivery of the product to sign for and acknowledge correctness of the count and condition of the product being delivered. In the event of shortage or damage of product delivered by a common carrier other than Simplova, the Buyer will be required to file the appropriate claim with that carrier and will hold Simplova harmless from this claim.
