Spec Furniture

Featuring the DIGNITY Occasional Tables, designed to complement the DIGNITY seating collection or any SPEC furniture series. These versatile tables are offered in round or square shapes and an 18-inch standard height, making them suitable for waiting areas, offices, and healthcare spaces.

  • Top options: choose from 25+ standard laminates (Wilsonart, Nevamar, Formica, Arborite, Pionite) or hand-laid veneers at no extra cost.
  • Edges: PVC flat, self edge, or hardwood edge to match aesthetics and wear requirements.
  • Construction: ULEF particleboard with 100% recycled core; FSC-certified manufacturing for sustainable design.
  • Durability: scratch-resistant laminate or hardwood edges; non-removable steel leveling glides for stability on varied floors.
  • Safety and flexibility: radius corners for high-traffic areas; designed to pair with seating and other SPEC ranges for cohesive spaces.

In professional settings, these tables offer practical surfaces for literature, beverages, or devices while maintaining a clean, contemporary look. They adapt to different configurations and use cases, from patient check-in to executive lounges.

BASE CONSTRUCTION
DIGN-SQ, DIGN-DIA

  • Legs: 4 polyurethane legs molded around a solid metal armature.
  • Brackets: 4 metal brackets for secure connections to legs, side panels, and table top.

Side Panels and Bottom Cover:

  • Core: 3/4" NAUF (no added urea-formaldehyde) particleboard (Phase 2 CARB compliant).
  • Covering: Bonded with water-based glue to a 1/16" high-pressure plastic laminate sheet on top and a plastic laminate backing sheet below.
  • Thickness: 7/8".
  • Core Material: 100% recycled, manufactured in an FSC Certified facility.

TOP CONSTRUCTION

LAMINATE

  • Core: 1" Nu-Green 2, ULEF (Ultra Low Emission Formaldehyde) raw particleboard.
  • Covering: Bonded with water-based glue to a 1/16" high-pressure plastic laminate sheet on top and bottom.
  • Thickness: Approximately 1-1/8".
  • Core Material: 100% pre-consumer recycled or recovered wood fiber, manufactured in an FSC Certified facility.
  • Density: 39 pounds per cu. ft.
  • Edge: Routed to accept PVC molding (Flat, Rigid), bonded with water-based white glue.

VENEER

  • Core: 1" Nu-Green 2, ULEF (Ultra Low Emission Formaldehyde) raw particleboard.
  • Covering: Bonded with water-based glue to a 1/32" hand-laid flat cut veneer on top and bottom.
  • Thickness: Approximately 1-1/16".
  • Veneer Selection: Careful attention to grain matching and symmetry.
  • Edge: Finished with hardwood edge profiles, segmented, glued, clamped, machined, and hand-planed.

EDGE CONSTRUCTION

PVC

  • Material: PolyCor G92B poly-vinyl chloride (PVC) pellet.
  • Process: Melted and extruded through die-head profiles.
  • Attachment: Glued and fitted using a continuous tongue and groove system.

HARDWOOD

  • Process: Segmented, glued with water-based glues, clamped, machined, and hand-planed.
  • Finish: Corners radiused, sealed, stained, and lacquered.

FEET CONSTRUCTION

GLIDES

  • Material: Durable 1/8" steel levelers with a 1/4-20 steel stem.

Delivery & Returns

RETURNS: All contract furniture is made to order and cannot be returned for a refund. Simplova may approve some items for return but will be subject to a restocking fee.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: Orders that have been scheduled for production may not be changed. All changes including reconsignments to orders previously acknowledged must be requested in writing and are subject to approval. Requests for changes are not deemed accepted until confirmed by the manufacturer. In the event a revision is accepted, change fees may apply.

DELIVERIES BY COURIER/COMMON CARRIER & FREIGHT CLAIMS: The buyer, or buyer's representative, must be present at the time of delivery of the product to sign for and acknowledge correctness of the count and condition of the product being delivered. In the event of shortage or damage of product delivered by a common carrier other than Simplova, the Buyer will be required to file the appropriate claim with that carrier and will hold Simplova harmless from this claim.
