The chairs feature a fully welded 1.75-inch steel frame capable of supporting up to 500 pounds per chair. FRAME CONSTRUCTION

Frame:
  • Constructed of seam-welded flash-controlled steel tubing, free of crimping on all bends. End frames are 1 3/4 in. O.D. 14 Gauge steel tube. 1-1/2" stretcher bars are welded to the frame for seat support. All connections are metal to metal. Welds are ground smooth.

SEAT AND BACK CONSTRUCTION

Seat:
  • Upholstery material over hi-resiliency molded foam, using a sustainable plant-based substitute for 25% of petroleum content.
  • Welded inner seat armature made from 11 GA flat steel and ¾" square 16 GA steel.
  • Elastic webbing straps clipped into the armature for suspension.
  • Seat covers are hook and loop and zipper locked, removable in the field.
  • Bolted to the chair frame with four ¼-20 fasteners.
Back:
  • Upholstery material over hi-resiliency molded foam, using a sustainable plant-based substitute for 25% of petroleum content.
  • Welded inner back armature made from 5/8" round 16 GA steel and 1" square 16 GA steel.
  • Foam includes lumbar support contour.
  • Back covers are hook and loop locked, removable in the field.
  • Slides over posts on the chair frame and fastened with two ¼-20 bolts.
Foam:
  • Molded foam with 25% plant-based alternative, density of 3.0 to 3.2 PCF.
  • Meets Federal Motor Vehicle Standard MVS S302 and California Bulletin No. 117 (TB117-2013) for flame retardants.

ARM CONSTRUCTION

  • Available in wood or molded self-skinned urethane.
  • Molded over a 1/8 in. thick steel plate, attached to the seat frame via mechanical connections.

FEET CONSTRUCTION

Glides:
  • Injection molded polymer black glides at front (friction fit) and back (threaded 1/4-20 levelers).

CERTIFICATIONS

  • ANSI/BIFMA X5.4 Public & Lounge Seating.
  • ANSI/BIFMA X5.11 General-Purpose Large Occupant Office Chairs.

Delivery & Returns

RETURNS: All contract furniture is made to order and cannot be returned for a refund. Simplova may approve some items for return but will be subject to a restocking fee.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: Orders that have been scheduled for production may not be changed. All changes including reconsignments to orders previously acknowledged must be requested in writing and are subject to approval. Requests for changes are not deemed accepted until confirmed by the manufacturer. In the event a revision is accepted, change fees may apply.

DELIVERIES BY COURIER/COMMON CARRIER & FREIGHT CLAIMS: The buyer, or buyer's representative, must be present at the time of delivery of the product to sign for and acknowledge correctness of the count and condition of the product being delivered. In the event of shortage or damage of product delivered by a common carrier other than Simplova, the Buyer will be required to file the appropriate claim with that carrier and will hold Simplova harmless from this claim.
