Companion Occasional Tables offer durable, versatile surfaces designed for healthcare facilities, waiting rooms, lounges, and offices. Available in round, square, and rectangular tops, they blend traditional craftsmanship with practical, high-traffic performance.

  • Top options: Laminate or veneer tops with 25+ standard options; custom selections from Wilsonart, Formica, and Arborite at no upcharge.
  • Edge finishes: Choose from PVC flat, exposed Baltic Birch plywood, or hardwood edges for a refined look.
  • Eco-friendly core: NU Green core delivers sustainability without compromising strength.
  • Sturdy steel frame: Fully welded 1.75" steel legs with a seam-welded, flash-controlled design for lasting stability.
  • Finishes and customization: 18 standard veneer stains or stain-to-match available at no extra cost to coordinate with any décor.
  • Healthcare and commercial use: Meets ANSI/BIFMA standards; ideal for medical offices, hospitals, and high-traffic spaces, with freestanding or connecting tabletops options.

COMPANION Specification Sheet

BASE CONSTRUCTION

4PT Base:
  • Constructed of seam-welded flash-controlled steel tubing, free of crimping on all bends.
  • End frames are 1 3/4 in. O.D. 14 Gauge cold-rolled steel tube.
  • Legs are welded to table support brackets, which are connected to the tabletop.

TOP CONSTRUCTION

Laminate:
  • 1/16" high-pressure laminate sheet with a plastic laminate backing.
  • Bonded with water-based glue.
  • Total top thickness: approximately 1-1/8".
Veneer:
  • 1/32" hand-laid flat-cut veneer.
  • Bonded with water-based glue.
  • Total top thickness: approximately 1-1/16".
  • Veneers selected for grain matching and symmetry.

EDGE CONSTRUCTION

PVC Edges:
  • Made from PVC pellet material, melted and extruded through die-head profiles.
  • Available in PVF (tongue & groove flat profile) and 2MM (flat).
  • 38 solid color options.
  • Applied to the table core using water-based glue.
2MM Bio Edges (PVC-Free):
  • Made with 88% bio-based resin blend.
  • Leading eco-friendly solution with impact durability comparable to PVC.
  • Applied using a state-of-the-art edge banding process for a pick-proof finish.
  • Available in 38 solid colors.
  • Bonded with water-based glue.
Hardwood Edges:
  • Individually segmented, glued with water-based adhesives, and clamped for full coverage.
  • Machined and hand-planed to match tabletop thickness.
  • Corners are pencil-radiused before sealing, staining, and lacquering.

Delivery & Returns

RETURNS: All contract furniture is made to order and cannot be returned for a refund. Simplova may approve some items for return but will be subject to a restocking fee.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: Orders that have been scheduled for production may not be changed. All changes including reconsignments to orders previously acknowledged must be requested in writing and are subject to approval. Requests for changes are not deemed accepted until confirmed by the manufacturer. In the event a revision is accepted, change fees may apply.

DELIVERIES BY COURIER/COMMON CARRIER & FREIGHT CLAIMS: The buyer, or buyer's representative, must be present at the time of delivery of the product to sign for and acknowledge correctness of the count and condition of the product being delivered. In the event of shortage or damage of product delivered by a common carrier other than Simplova, the Buyer will be required to file the appropriate claim with that carrier and will hold Simplova harmless from this claim.
